Last week, I confessed to shedding many tears over the fact that my practical suburban working mom wardrobe just doesn't allow for the whimsical loveliness of embellished headbands.

Andrea of Andrea's Beau may not have read this, but she somehow sensed my defeat, and sent me a lifeline.
This would be in the form of an e-mail introducing me to her line of fabulous hair accessories. Little did she know that I had already spotted her work on other websites and cursed her for rubbing salt into the wound. But now that I'm all about possibility, I think it may be time to kick that pesky resignation to the curb.
Why CAN'T I wear an embellished head band? I may be pairing it with sweatpants and airing it at Target - but I will look fabulous from the neck up! (As long as you don't pay attention to the lack of make up and the teenager acne that plagues me every so often.)
But enough about me - How gorgeous is this?

Do you love it? If so - you are in luck because I will be giving one away to a lucky commenter.
Even if like me, you just don't know if you can pull of this look, you can win one for your daughter, niece, or any other lucky little girl in your life. These headbands are made for both women and girls.
The winner can select their choice of color:

I think I'd want the toffee one. No wait - the blue. Or...maybe the rose would be best. I must admit that I have a habit of buying things in several different colors...
There are so many styles for both women and girls, each one more lovely than the next. I spent far too much time on Andrea's site to select pictures for this post, and to validate all of that time spent, I will now hit you with an ungodly amount of headband images.

Did you know that she also makes hair clips and combs?
I'm so excited about this giveaway! So as usual, I'm going to provide you with many ways to get extra entries:
To enter, just leave me a comment - any comment.
To get a second entry - visit Andrea's Beau and tell me what you would buy if you had a store credit.
To get additional entries:
1. Let your Twitter contacts know about the giveaway
2. Send an e-mail to your friends
3. Post about the giveaway (I can send images if you need them) - in fact, you get 5 extra entries for posting.
4. Follow me (or let me know if you already are - remember, I'm nothing if I'm not loyal)
5. Get one more entry for doing ALL OF THE ABOVE
If possible - leave one comment for each "task" - it will simplify my life - and will be much appreciated by my math challenged brain.
I will stop taking entries at midnight EST on Sunday, May 31.
Good luck!

160 want some cake:
ooo pick me!! head bands are to me like shoes are to some women, meaning I'm obsessed!
CUTE headbands!!!
found you on sits :)
I thought you ment that girl from the facts of life
Pretty, pretty, pretty! Obviously the headband look is out for me unless I decide on a high comedy look. But....if I win , maybe some pretty young girl would get a present.
Beautiful headbands! I'll soon be 46 years young, so how perfect!
Pick me, pick me, pick me!
These are really cute. I tweeted you. Did you see? Good luck.
If I had a store credit I'd buy the soft multi gem headband.
I've been following your blog forever. Entry #3 for me.
I just blogged about this giveaway on my own blog (entry #4 for me)
I just emailed a bunch of friends and copied you (oh, my last entry should count for five more since I blogged about, so I've already lost count of how many entries I get - I don't envy you trying to do all these math)
Okay, and I just logged onto Twitter and tweeted about it! I did it - I entered this contest every way possible. WOOT!
Very cute! And hello... I didn't even know you HAD a blog until today! I'm now hooked (and hoping I get a cool headband)!
And I think Christy is cheating. :-P
I kept thinking about that post - where you were giving up headbands and I thought, why? Within reason (I couldn't do all of Blair Waldorf's headbands...well, most of them. I couldn't do most of them) they work and dress up an outfit to boot. I only have a couple and they're pretty basic. Only one with color. I'm rambling. What I'm saying is, wear a headband. You deserve it. :)
And the ones you've posted? Beautiful. sighworthy.
Very cute! Tempting, but I don't think it would work for me! : )

AH! I love these. i totally think i could rock one of these... especially in the summa!
and... if i had store credit? I'd get this: http://www.andreasbeau.com/cgi-bin/shopper.cgi?preadd=action&key=RWMNBSDS. i'm a sucker for something shiny.
Whoops forgot to mention that I would want the Gossamer salon clip!
Oh those are so cute! I want to be cute, lol
Ohhhhh, I really love that. I'd love to win, but may have to actually buy that if I don't. So pretty!
There was a short time when my hair was long that I could do the ponytail, thin headband thing. Now I have bangs, and I fear my headband days are over! Wah! These are beautiful!
I would get the girls adjustable Japanese Garland double band for my daughter though - so pretty.
Also - even though there is no real way to verify this, I am sending the link to my sister because she is headband obsessed for both of her daughters. So thanks for sharing!
I love these--so pretty!!
Please, please, please? So cute!
i don't care if i'm too old, i want one! please please please! and you know i follow you. xo
LOVE THEM! I have a few headbands I love wearing, but these are far more fun than those I have. I also haven't been wearing any lately because...sigh...I need to get my color refreshed so my bizarro world roots are no longer an issue. (shhh...it's a big old secret that it's not my real color!)(yeah, right!)
A quick browse over there had me immediately drawn to the soft adjustable headbands. Those are my favorite. I loved so many, but I really do like the Pebble one she has pictured there.
I love the metallic edge * velvet bow from her website. Great stuff. I don't just WANT one I NEED one. I haven't gotten a haircut in many months & need something to hold my hair back. It's really a matter of necessity for me :-)
Cathy Trocchia
OK, I'm freaking out. These are so beautiful and you know how I am about my hair...I need these!
I'm going to have to go back to your rules and figure out how to increase my chances!
So cute. So very cute. I can has headband?
very cute headbands, I just love them and I think we could all use a little whimsy in our daily lives.
Becky K.
These are amazing, there are several I need.
ooooh! love them!
I think I'd buy the Gossamer Flower. Or the Obi. Or the Velvet Bow, Frill or Knot Wide. Or all of them, really.
just tweeted :)
oh yeah, and I've been a follower for a while!
Awww, how pretty! I only wish I could wear headbands. I'm a glasses-wearer, so headbands are totally uncomfortable. But darn, these are pretty! Maybe I could suffer for some beauty...
:)
Beautiful! My daughter would love them, not sure I could pull one off - definitely not mentally ;-)
Hi, first-time commenter.
They're beautiful!!!
2 things:
i'm a follower
and
i want that headband!!!
I would look like a middle aged fool in one of these but my daughter would look gorgeous!
I am a loyal follower:)
First of all, thanks for visiting the other day.
Second of all, I love your blog title and tagline (I mean LOVE!)
And "c" I adore the headbands and other accessories, I'm just not sure I could pull them off...but I'd sure like to try! :)
just blogged about it too :)
They are gorgeous! I hope I win!
I love the toffee...
Cute!
AND I'm a follower! Yay!
I would buy the Metallic Edge Adjustable Soft Headband if I had a credit!
wouldn't it be lovely if we could always be "pretty"! (i say just noticing the cream cheese smear on my jacket!)
Oh please pick me, Kate. My new 'do means any time I wear my hair back a headband is REQUIRED!
Okay, I came from the Underdogs site to get one last entry!
I'd totally want that head band flower thingy.
It matches my beard.
Yea!
I don't know if I could wear one, but I'd try.
These headbands are absolutely gorgeous! I only wish that I looked as good as those models do in headbands! They are truly fabulous.
Hi, First time reader!
I will be following you shortly. Thznks!
I want one. In fact I think I want several! No reason why anyone shouldn't have a pretty headband, you certainly should.
PS I have a photo giveaway on my blog at the mo, if you're interested.
AAAAAHHHH WANT WANT WANT
Oh so cute!! And yes, I want to be Blair Waldorf!!!
OH MY GOODNESS. I just cut off 13" of hair into a little pixie cut, and I'm having headbandgasms. YES PLEASE.
Just beautiful! I love, love, love headbands. (I'm wearing one right now!)
If I had store credit, I think I would buy the soft Iridescent Paisley headband in hot pink from Andrea's Beau. They're all so beautiful, though, it was really hard to decide!
Fun! I say everybody can find a way to work embellished headbands into their wardrobe--especially if they make you feel like a queen.
Shared on Twitter. (Proof!)
These are beautiful! I hope I win!
After looking at the site, there are SO many things I would want to buy if I had store credit but think I'd probably splurge on something for me. It's hard to find adult hair accessories this beautiful. I think I'd go with a headband.
so cute. I'm not sure I could pull them off, but I'd definitly try with a blue one. One can never have too many headbands.
I am ALL ABOUT headbands right now. Thanks to Blair...my style maven. I want to WIN!!
I LOVE the Gossomer flowers. LOVE them.
am i too late? if not pick me, pick me i say! I'm all caught up on life in the hood household. lots happening, thinking of you :)
Oh nice giveaway and great blog!
pick me! pick me!
Is it wrong that I plan to add "... and please, please, PLEASE let me win that gorgeous headband!!" to my bedtime prayers tonight?
Gossip Girl is my absolate favorite & I do secretly want to be Blair Waldorf (for both her wardrobe, and Chuck Bass make-out priveleges).
PLEASE PICK ME! :)
SECOND ENTRY:
Visited Andrea's Beau as asked.
If I had a store credit, I'd pretty much want it all... but I narrowed my top two choices to The Gossamer Flower headband and the Vintage Sequin headband!
Entry 3 (because I mean business!):
I am now "following you" on here too.
OMG, please pick me. I'm literally begging. Wait, begging is pathetic. I am umm... calmly requesting that you please pick me. :)
Thanks!
So, so pretty!
I love headbands! These are beautiful!
You're RIGHT! These are SO me!
I hope I win! :)
I would love to win and if i do i'll be giving you the headband as a gift since it would look much better on you than me.

Just stopping in from SITS. I am really amazed with your work and all the detail you add to your headbands.
Gah! So much pretty in one post.
SITS sent me! They are all gorgeous!
They're all so lovely!
I would use the credit to buy the Silk Poppy Headband!
Pink is my signature color! So is blue, and green, and oh, whatever!
I went and looked to see what I would pick if I had a store credit. OMG - why do you do this to me? I want them all! Here in the GLORIOUS SOUTH we love things to glitter and we so appreciate our Victorian styles, so I would have to put vintage sequin on the list, but there are so many other wonderful ones too. Sigh.
Found you on SITS and I want a headband....please. They are soo girly. LOVE them.
I would buy the Japanese Garland in Green.
If I win, I will share. We will be the coolest mother/daughter stroller pushing, coffee drinking team on the beach......................................
Christy, stop it!!!!!!!!!
I'm a new follower and stopping by from SITS. I love headbands on windy days!
I am a Wishing True follower.

I voted for you for Blogitzer! For some reason I had a tough time writing that word. (I'm dcd0614 on that site. Signed in before I had a blog and now I can't figure out how to change it. Not that you needed to know that!)
**jumps up and down**
**waves frantically**
Pick me!!!
If I had store credit, at Andrea's Beau I for sure want a Gossamer Flower clip on in Rose! =)

OH LORDY!!! How have I possibly been in the dark about this! My girls would give up a stuffed animal for one of the gossamer flower hair bands.
If I don't win, I'll never forgive you.
(just kidding) (sort of)
These are truly lovelies to feed your soul. I wish, I wish, I wish to win the taupe or blue or rose one.
So, I am obsessive-compulsively checking your page a few times a day to see if you've announced a winner yet & praying it's ME ME ME! It's official... I am a headband junkie. Is there a 12-step program for that?
